Gem Rings (Prong Set)
The setting technique I invented for these gemstone pieces provides maximum light to the stone and a completely new look. The prongs are stainless steel with a notch that fits on the girdle and provides a sturdy mount that can be undone if needed to replace or repair the stone.

The bands are stainless steel and depending on the design of the ring, most can be removed and the ring resized. The mounts are aluminum, contoured in endless ways and finished in a variety of textures.

I can make a custom one just for you using your gem or mine.

Gem Rings (Other Settings)
Tube setting, post mounting and adhesives constitute the setting techniques for these gemstone pieces. In tube setting, the mount is entirely lathe-turned and the gem opening established. The gem is held by a lathe-turned tube inserted from behind. Half-drilled gems are mounted by a pin. Cabochons are adhered into machined recesses or to a spider-mounted pad.

The bands are stainless steel and depending on the design of the ring, most can be removed and the ring resized. The mounts are aluminum, contoured in endless ways and finished in a variety of textures.

Metalfiori Rings
These rings feature grains of glass in metal tubes all set in resin, a technique I call "metalfiori,” an allusion to the Italian millefiori glass. I use twelve colors of glass grains to create the designs. Each grain is set by hand. Some Venetian glass, tiles and mirrors and other glass design elements are used also.

The narrow bands are stainless steel and depending on the design of the ring, most can be removed and the ring resized. The wide bands are bent aluminum and cannot be resized. The mounts are aluminum, contoured in endless ways and finished in a variety of textures.

I can make a custom one in specific colors just for you.
Mineral Rings
Screw mounting, wire mounting and adhesives constitute the setting techniques for these gemstone pieces. Drilled minerals are mounted by a wire or set by a screw. Cabochons or flat-sided items are adhered into machined recesses or to flat metal.

The narrow bands are stainless steel and depending on the design of the ring, most can be removed and the ring resized. The wide bands are machined or bent aluminum and cannot be resized. The mounts are aluminum, contoured in endless ways and finished in a variety of textures.

Metal Rings
These rings are primarily metal, aluminum, brass, and bronze. They are assembled with screws. Screw mounting, pin mounting and adhesives constitute the setting techniques for these pieces.

The bands are machined or bent aluminum and cannot be resized.

I can make a similar custom one in your size.
Adjustable Rings
These rings are copper, brass or gold/silver-plated brass. The insets are resin-filled with a variety of accent materials,

The bands can be sized between a 6 to about a 9.

I can make a custom one for you with your materials or mine.
Shaker Rings
The rings feature moveable settings with gems, glass or other materials. They are water-resistant, but not waterproof and cannot be submerged. The acrylic face is adhered or screwed down.

The narrow bands are stainless steel and depending on the design of the ring, most can be removed and the ring resized. The wide bands are machined or bent aluminum and cannot be resized. The mounts are aluminum, contoured in endless ways and finished in a variety of textures.

Glass Rings

Plastic Rings
These pieces are lathe-turned plastic either in the natural raw color or hand-colored and sealed with a flexible coating. The tendrils are part of the cutting process and are left on some pieces as a design motif. The plastic is flexible and very strong, but intentional folding will make a crease and crack the color and coating. Glass and other plastic elements augment the hand-made ones. The components are drilled and set by a screw to the lathe-turned aluminum band. They are not resizable.

I can make a custom one just for you using your items or mine in colors of your choosing.
Resin & Glass Rings
These rings feature resin and glass with the occasional other material set on aluminum or in recessed aluminum in a variety of contours, textures and finishes.

The narrow bands are stainless steel and depending on the design of the ring, most can be removed and the ring resized. The wide bands are machined or bent aluminum and cannot be resized. The mounts are aluminum, contoured in endless ways and finished in a variety of textures.

Wooden Rings
These rings feature lathe-turned and hand-carved rings in a variety of hardwoods. They have an oil finish.

Many of them are designed to be worn in more than one way. On the index or little finger, they can be worn rotated to one side which gives a different look. Others can be worn upside down on any finger for a different look.

I can make a custom one just for you using your materials or mine. Additionally, the wood can be dyed in colors of your choosing.
